About Vanessa Ortiz, MD
Dr. Vanessa Ortiz is an Obstetrician-Gynecologist dedicated to caring for women through every stage of life. She believes that good healthcare starts with listening, building trust, and creating a relationship where patients feel comfortable asking questions and making informed decisions about their health. Dr. Ortiz earned her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hackensack University Medical Center.
She is proud to care for women and families throughout the Northern New Jersey community. Her clinical interests include comprehensive obstetric care and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, with a particular interest in robotic surgery. She enjoys helping women navigate pregnancy and childbirth while providing care that reflects their individual needs, values, and goals. When surgery is needed, she believes in using minimally invasive approaches whenever appropriate, with the goal of providing effective treatment while helping patients return to their everyday lives as comfortably as possible.
Dr. Ortiz combines her surgical expertise with a thoughtful and personal approach to patient care. She takes the time to explain options, answer questions, and make sure her patients feel heard and confident in their care. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Ortiz is committed to providing accessible, culturally sensitive care and communicating with patients in the language in which they feel most comfortable.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Ortiz values family, balance, and being an active part of her community. She brings that same compassion and dedication to the women she has the privilege of caring for everyday.
