Dawn Mormando

Dawn Mormando is a Certified Nurse Midwife that joined the practice in December 2021. She is excited to assist women across the life cycle to make personalized and informative decisions to obtain maintain optimal health.

Dawn’s passion and specialty in women’s health began over 20 years ago, when she graduated nursing school and starting her “dream job” as a labor and delivery nurse. Her roles throughout her 22-year nursing career at Capital Health included staff nurse, charge nurse, and assistant nurse manager. She also enjoyed her role as a clinical teaching instructor for fetal monitoring and BSN students rotating on the maternity unit.

Dawn loved all aspects of her nursing career but always aspired to become a midwife. The timing finally seemed right after her 3 children were in high school. She graduated from Frontier Nursing University with a master’s degree in Nurse Midwifery and a post master’s certification in Woman’s Health. She is currently in the doctoral program with an anticipated graduation for June 2023.

Dawn truly enjoys being able to practice midwifery that encompasses full-scope women’s health care. She is inspired to assist women in all phases of life, including the need for wellness exams, birth control options, prenatal care, birth, and menopause care. She is attentive to the individualized needs of patients and strives to deliver care that is culturally sensitive and focused on shared decision-making. Her ultimate career goal is to provide women a memorable birth that is based on their family vision and deliver the most up-to-date evidenced-based health care to all patients.

Dawn was born and has lived in Bucks County her entire life. She enjoys camping with her family, reading, spending time with family pets, and is an avid sports fan.
