Diane McCracken, M.D., is one of the five owners of All About Women. She graduated from Hahnemann University in 1997 and the Christiana Care Health Services Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program in 2001, before joining All About Women in the Summer of 2001. Dr. McCracken is Board Certified and is a member of the Medical Society of Delaware. She is married and has 3 children. Dr. McCracken serves on the Labor and Delivery Induction Task Force and is a Safety Committee member, Christiana Care Health System.

Dr. McCracken is always fantastic; knowledgeable, informative, kind. This visit was no different. What was different was the fact that the front desk clerk at my appointment in February sent me home for being 3 minutes late to complete all information in the kiosk, EVEN THOUGH she knew I was there score the 10 minute grace period because we spoke about an insurance error within the kiosk; EVEN THOUGH I couldn’t find any appointment confirmation because it doesn’t come across as All About Women (so I couldn’t enter my information in advance online); EVEN THOUGH, I attempted to call to say that I was going to be a few minutes late because I was behind a 6 mile police escorted slow moving funeral procession but the office message was that the office was closed because it was lunch hour. I needed to see Dr. McCracken not only for my yearly exam, but for a problem about which I was concerned. This receptionist told me that Dr. McCracken said that I needed to be rescheduled when I insisted that she ask. I believe she never called Dr. McCracken to ask. Any receptionist with a shred of common sense would have allowed me to stay. There were only 2 patients waiting in the office. It was not busy, and certainly Dr. McCracken was not waiting on me. I had multiple reasons that I didn’t complete the sign in prior to the 10 minute allowance (as referenced above). I was inconvenienced that day, and again on my later rescheduled appointment in April, and now, my appointment for next year is not until June. That was next year’s availability. I do not want to schedule for the summer, yet that’s what I had to do because of that receptionist’s absurdity. Patients should not be treated that way. When I discussed all of this with Dr. McCracken, she agreed that I should not have been sent home. That young blonde receptionist should not interface with patients.

I do not like the fact that Brownstone Plaza was closed. If it wasn’t for McCracken I would seriously consider changing practices.
