Mita Sharma

Dr. Mita Sharma practices general obstetrics and gynecology, and has a clinical interest in prenatal care. She graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts in neuroscience. While in college, she was chosen for the prestigious Goldman Sachs Global Leaders Program and received the President’s Volunteer Service Award. She received her medical degree from the Pennsylvania State College of Medicine. During medical school, she was inducted into the Gold Humanism in Medicine Honor Society. She completed her residency training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and served as administrative chief resident. During her residency, Dr. Sharma received the John B Franklin Award for chief resident who best exemplifies qualities of dedication, compassion, and humanitarianism. She was also honored with multiple teaching awards and was involved in quality improvement research. She was previously an assistant professor of OB/Gyn at NYP-Columbia University Medical Center.

Dr. Sharma has extensive experience in caring for patients with routine and high-risk pregnancies and providing gynecology care. She is compassionate, up-to-date, and uses evidence-based care to provide the best care possible to women in the community. She is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She speaks Hindi and Spanish. Dr. Sharma lives in Morristown with her husband and daughter, and enjoys traveling, attending Broadway shows, trying new restaurants, and dancing.
