Dr. Chavez joined All About Women in 2011. She is originally from El Paso, Texas, is married, and has two children. She received her BS and MD degrees from the University of Connecticut. She completed her residency at Christiana Care, where she served as the administrative chief resident in her final year. Dr. Chavez is board certified and an ACOG fellow. She serves on Christiana’s Peer Review and Credentialing Committee.

Dr. Chavez is the best doctor in Delaware. I wish she could be a GP as well. She seems to genuinely care about her patients. I have been a patient of hers for several years now and she has helped me through many issues, including the aftermath of a botched D&E surgery completed by a different doctor, and multiple miscarriages. I hope All About Women realizes her value because I don't know where I would go if Dr. Chavez ever left the practice. She is an excellent doctor, highly knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate. I appreciate her so much.

the intake person was friendly but asked questions related to my mental health - I hope I will not get charged for these questions as they are not directly related to Gyncology annual check-up. Dr. Chevaz Asked several questions about my allergies and medications and discussed the medical recommendation about pap smear frequency( which I do not agree with )- to stop all pap smears after 65 to 70. That is a mistake with the environmental and other exposure factors that can increase woman's cancer risk. I do not want to have to deal with or fight GYN cancer !!! the exam was completed quickly with no comments from the physician. Any other Gyn medical questions could result in increased charges to the patient. This was stated several times by documents and information provided during the visit. This does not give a patient the transparency or comfort to discuss related or aging GYN concerns . Perhaps this office does not want or need to get other results like annual mammogram results? Please advise if ALL About Women feels this is an appropriate action going forward?
