Unfortunately the communication was very poor. When I went into labor we called Dr. Beim. He advised us to go to the hospital but nothing further, and did not let us know he would not be able to deliver the baby. While we understand no provider is always available, there was no communication that he would not be able to be there or any introduction to the on call physician who we had never met. I was in labor 18hours and there was more than enough opportunity for at least a call. Additionally, when I experienced postpartum symptoms and called the Edison office, the nurse not only said she “did not know anything about that” but also refused to communicate anything to Dr.Beim even after directly asked. I would have loved to rave about my OB care but this experience left me feeling very unsupported.
