Shital Mistry

Shital and her family came to the United States from India when she was just 6 years old. Her family settled in Georgia where she grew up. She attended the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology followed by a Bachelor of Nursing from Kennesaw State University. In 2014, Shital moved to Northern New Jersey and began her career as a registered nurse on a surgical step-down unit at Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC). With a strong interest in pregnancy and educating pregnant patients through the different stages of pregnancy as well as labor, Shital transitioned to the Labor and Delivery Unit at HUMC and has been caring for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients for the past five years.

In 2019 Shital obtained a Master of Science as a Family Nurse practitioner from Fairleigh Dickinson University and became a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She is married to her husband Jimmy and has two very active, fun-loving toddlers. When not at work, she enjoys watching movies, shopping, hiking, and weekend getaways with her family.
