Dina Shaw

Dina is a board certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner(WHNP-BC). She earned her Masters of Science and Nursing in Women’s Health, from the University of Cincinnati. Dina has spent the entirety of her career as an RN working in women’s health. She has worked in many different settings, from outpatient community clinics, to inner city hospitals, and the last 7 years at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. During her time at Valley Hospital Dina worked as an RN on Labor and Delivery caring for antepartum, intrapartum, and post-partum patients, and circulating in the operating room. She also taught childbirth education classes, and worked in the Maternal Fetal Medicine department. Dina is certified in electronic fetal monitoring (C-EFM), is a Doula, and has been trained through Lamaze to teach childbirth education.

Dina is passionate when it comes to health and wellness. She sees her patients as a whole, mind and body. She feels strongly about education, and works in collaboration with her patients to choose treatment plans that they are comfortable with. She likes to set small attainable goals and lifestyle changes to help her patients be healthy and feel their best. Dina is particulary interested in helping young women and adults with irregular menstrual cycles and bleeding, preserving fertility, and family planning.

Dina’s personal interests include walking, music, yoga, and reading. When not at work Dina can be seen walking for hours with her husband and family. Dina loves to cook, and often hosts holiday meals. Dina feels strongly about donating to charity, and supports many organizations among them organizations that provide food to families and healthcare access to those in need.
