Born and raised in Flushing, NY, Dr. Segal attended Yeshiva University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Biology. He then entered medical school at the SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn (formerly SUNY Downstate). He graduated in 1999, Cum Laude, and was elected to the national medical honor society (Alpha Omega Alpha). He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/ Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY. He received a resident teaching award in his second year.

Dr. Segal joined Drs. Rathauser, Bochner and Lundberg at RWJ OB-Gyn Associates upon graduation from residency. He also serves as a member of the voluntary medical school faculty at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J. He was awarded a teaching excellence award by the residency in 2007. He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and recently been named one of NJ’s “Top Doctors” in New Jersey Monthly Magazine 2011.

Dr. Segal currently resides in East Brunswick with his wife, Michelle, and their four beautiful children: Tamar, Joseph, Zev, and Ruth.

Gynecological Exams

Seen by the doctor fairly quickly from time I arrived. Doctor asks questions and listens to my answers, plus listens to my concerns and questions with "eye-contact" attention and answers. Eye-contact is important to me; as is not rushing the visit. Dr. Ciranni is well-worth the drive up over the Canal to an area I am not comfortable driving to.
