Shivani N. Patel

Dr. Shivani Patel is a South Jersey native who is excited to be joining RWJ OBGYN Associates. She attended New York University for her undergraduate training where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in Psychology. Dr. Patel received her medical education at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Atlantic Health System in Morristown, NJ, where she had high-volume exposure to high-risk obstetrics as well as complex gynecologic surgery. Here, she served as Administrative Chief Resident and received both the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine award for Excellence in Obstetrics and the Society for Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeons Outstanding MIS Resident award. Dr. Patel is trained and certified in Da Vinci Robotic surgery.

Dr. Patel looks forward to serving the community in which she grew up. She is passionate about all areas of women’s health and is committed to helping her patients achieve their best state of health through all stages of life, from adolescence and through adulthood. Her goal is to create an environment where patients feel comfortable and empowered to ask questions and participate in shared decision-making so as to receive the best, individualized care.

In her free time, Dr. Patel enjoys trying new cuisines, spending time with her friends and family, exploring the neighboring cities, and planning her next international adventure.
