About John Lundberg, MD

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Lundberg attended the Long Island University School of Pharmacy where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and valedictorian of his graduating class in 1983. In addition, he was elected to numerous honor societies and received seven academic awards at graduation. After practicing as a registered pharmacist for a short while, Dr. Lundberg entered medical school in 1984 at the SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn (formerly SUNY Downstate) on an academic scholarship. He was elected into the national medical honor society (Alpha Omega Alpha) after his second year of studies. He graduated in 1988, Cum Laude, and received four academic awards for top grades. He completed his residency at UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson University Hospitals in 1992. He was the executive chief resident and received awards in his final two years for highest national testing scores (CREOG) and in his final year for best scientific paper.

Dr. Lundberg joined Drs. Rathauser and Bochner at RWJ Ob-Gyn Associates upon graduation. He also served as a member of the voluntary medical school faculty at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and has been cited numerous times as a “Top Doctor” by the Castle Connolly Medical organization and other groups through the years.

Dr. Lundberg has been very active in the fight against the recent changes in our healthcare system. He established his own website and was interviewed on the Fox News Network.

Dr. Lundberg currently resides in Watchung with his wife, Laurene of more than 40 years. Together they have been blessed with three children: Diana, Elizabeth, and Michael, and beautiful grandchildren.
