Obstetrics

The “OB” in OB/GYN is about far more than delivering babies – it encompasses all of the counseling, support, diagnostics and treatment from the initial idea of becoming pregnant through prenatal care and delivery to postpartum care.

And Providers at Lifeline Medical Associates offer the highest quality prenatal and postpartum care, affording patients the greatest opportunity for a safe and successful pregnancy.

Find A Provider

This all begins well in advance of becoming pregnant – when just beginning to plan for pregnancy. Why should you see an obstetrician before becoming pregnant?

A preconception checkup can help you:

  • Ensure that you are taking prenatal vitamins and leading a healthy lifestyle, benefitting you and your baby throughout the pregnancy.
  • Understand any personal risk factors you may have, including reviewing your medical history and your family history, especially related to potential genetic issues.
  • Check that all immunizations are up to date and all prescribed and over-the-counter medications, as well as any supplements, are safe in pregnancy.
  • Develop a plan to keep mother and baby healthy before, during and after your pregnancy.

As you progress through your pregnancy, Providers at Lifeline Medical Associates will:

  • Monitor your health and your baby’s health.
  • Help you identify, prevent and treat the symptoms often associated with pregnancy, including morning sickness, leg cramps and heartburn.
  • Advise you on how to stay healthy with appropriate diet and safe, adequate exercise.
  • Provide answers to your questions about pregnancy, delivery and postpartum.

  • Routine postpartum care to help you with normal healing after delivery while caring for a newborn.
  • Encouraging and supporting breastfeeding.
  • Following up with you to detect and address any signs of postpartum depression.
  • Continuing to monitor medical issues that may have occurred during the pregnancy, such as high blood pressure or gestational diabetes.

Annual Well Woman Exam

Nancy is great, I would give her a 5. But the office staff hardly acknowledges you are there. Seems very un personable’

Gynecological Exams

Courtney is great at making me feel comfortable. I appreciate that she speaks to me like a human, not a patient. Everyone on the phone and in the office is helpful and accommodating, which goes a long way. The only reason I'm giving a 4 instead of a 5 for this day is that I scheduled a last-minute ultrasound for the same day and was unaware that I had to drink two bottles of water before that appointment. Because I had to wait for my bladder to fill up, I didn't start my appointment until an hour later than the planned time. Luckily, I have a flexible job so it wasn't too much of a problem, but this could be an issue for other patients. Otherwise, you all are great! Michelle P was great at helping me with the ultrasound as well. Very friendly.

Annual Well Woman Exam

There were 2 receptionists, I stood in front of one and she totally ignored me as she tried to do something on her computer. I get it, you have a task, but acknowledge the patient standing there, say be with you in a minute...something!! The other woman however was very sweet and helpful
