The following are the most frequently asked questions we receive across the Lifeline Medical Associates network of practices. Whether you are a potential, new or existing patient, we strive to listen to your needs and answer any questions that you may have.

Lifeline Medical Associates is an exceptional network of over 100 physicians, nurse practitioners and certified nurse midwives, who collectively strive to set a new standard for women’s care. What you should expect depends upon the reason for your visit. It could be the first time you seek gynecologic care, the discovery you are newly pregnant, the need to address pelvic health issues or the desire to find a new provider after just moving into the area. Regardless of why you are coming to Lifeline Medical Associates, what you should always expect is to feel welcomed in a warm manner, feel comfortable in any area of our facility or office, and feel you have received the respect and attention you deserve. We will prepare you as much as possible before you arrive, so that from the moment you step through our doors to the time you leave, you are confident that you are receiving the best care possible.

Lifeline care centers accept a long list of insurances and we are continuously working with insurance payers to offer the best rates possible. Affordability and accessibility to superior healthcare is what drives these efforts.

Each Lifeline care center has a complete list of accepted insurance plans specific to the services they provide. Please contact your care center to confirm your insurance eligibility and ask any questions.

Yes, Lifeline Medical partners with NextGen to provide a secure and comprehensive portal for our patients to have for their use.

Every Lifeline care center has designed their own appointment hours to be convenient for their patients. There are some care centers that do offer evening and/or weekend hours. Please visit our care center websites directly to learn about their appointment times and locations.

Yes, many of our Lifeline practices and care centers have trained staff who speak a variety of different languages. Please contact the care center of your choice directly to see how they can help you in this matter.

Lifeline providers and care centers are located throughout New Jersey, so they are affiliated with many different hospitals. Lifeline providers work closely with the top hospitals in their area to provide high quality and convenient service to our patients. It is always best to confirm directly with your Lifeline care center of choice to see which hospitals or medical centers they partner with for patient care.

Our Lifeline care centers kindly request that any scheduled appointment should be canceled within 24 hours of the arrival time. We do, however, understand that unexpected issues arise, so please call the Lifeline care center directly at your first opportunity to cancel or reschedule.

Keeping your medical records safe and confidential is of the utmost importance to Lifeline Medical Associates. We have invested in state-of-the-art technology to not only make access to your medical records secure, but also to make it convenient to share it directly with you or a physician of your authorization. Please contact your Lifeline care center directly and they will provide you with the necessary paperwork to confidently and privately send you a copy of your medical records.

Hysteroscopy

Dr. Sarma is always very comforting and reassuring, especially when procedures can be both uncomfortable and uneasy. She explains everything she’s doing as she does it. She has such a calmness about her that instantly puts me at ease when I’m so nervous.

Virtual Visit / Telemedicine

The Lab had found a small mass on my right breast and Amy was unaware that I was even offered a sonogram of the breast. That was disheartening. She was more intent on getting me to take fosamax for my bones, which I can never take because my stomach is so sensitive due to Rheumatoid Arthritis with a Psoariatic component. I had originally related all this in my Doctor's Profile for me. I even told her my arthritis doctor's (Rheimatologist) name.

The office staff were polite and the office was clean. Dr. Bowers examined me and answered all my questions. She made me feel at ease during my exam.

Obstetrical Ultrasound

Both the NP and ultra sound tech were professional, compassionate and answered my questions clearly.

Hysteroscopy

Dr Sarma explained very thoroughly about what to expect from the procedure, at every step of the whole process.

Gynecological Problem Visit

I was able to have my virtual visit while on my break at work. Everything was very clear as to why I am having the procedure. The Dr explained everything. Very pleased

Dr. Steer is always extremely thorough, caring, and knowledgable. He delivered my second child as well, as as someone who had a traumatic birth experience with her first, I can say he made delivering my second the experience every birthing person should have and deserves. With the way women's heath care is today, it's extremely reassuring to have a doctor who listens and understands your whole picture as a patient.

The provider signed in pretty close to the scheduled time, and she was thorough in her questions to me. She also allowed me time to ask questions and address any concerns that I might have.

This was the first time I was meeting Grace. From the moment she walked in until the moment my visit was over, Grace was extremely thorough, compassionate and caring. She made sure to get a full history and understanding of my issue, and even asked questions that prompted me to think about some other issues I have been having, but has never been resolved during past visits. I highly highly recommend Grace and will be switching to her service moving forward.
