Jamie graduated from Wesleyan University with a Bachelors of Arts in Biology. After graduating she worked in a laboratory at the National Institute of Health for 2 years. She then returned to school for nursing, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Pennsylvania, and continuing on to get her Masters degree in Nursing, with a concentration in Women’s Health and Nurse-Midwifery. She has been at Durham Women’s Center since 2012, and currently sees patients for gynecologic needs throughout the life span, from adolescence through menopause.

Jamie took her time w/ me & fully explained all my recent mamo's; as well as we discussed bone density & ultra sound for fibroids. She sent my Rx's to University Radiology as well as gave me paper copies. Easy to communicate via your portal. Front desk staff is outstanding & pay attention to details. I'm seen at my appointment time, minimum waiting time.

There was nothing wrong with the visit- I just had a hard time to continually hear the same fluffy words when you hear that women my age complain about the same thing. Clearly the answers given are not working. More education and research on menopause is needed. Why not be the office that provides that education on advice that is meaningful and purposeful and helpful. I get sick of the same thing being said and I can’t help believe that if there was more research on menopause with our healthcare advisers- we would NOT all be saying the same complaints. When I increase exercise it doesn’t help- if anything- I can’t sleep & that’s a whole new set of issues. I eat very clean- and the weight gain is continuous. I am not looking for injections- I’m looking to feel better.
