Laboratory Services
Laboratory Services
Your Lifeline Medical Associates physician may order tests as preventive measures or to determine a diagnosis for an ailment. These tests can help your provider identify health risks or confirm that you are within normal numbers for your particular situation. Professional laboratory services process samples of blood or urine quickly and efficiently so you and your healthcare provider can review the results and move forward with value-based care.
Find A ProviderPreventative Bloodwork
Preventive blood work usually includes a complete blood count (CBC) which will evaluate your red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelet count. The CBC can be used by your physician to screen for diseases and conditions such as anemia, infection, or inflammation. A CBC blood test will also help your provider monitor any treatment options that you have been going through that may affect your blood cells.
Another preventive blood test is the comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP), which will screen for conditions such as liver disease, kidney disease, or diabetes. This test can also help your provider monitor you after you have been taking medications that could affect your liver or kidney function.
Laboratory services work with your healthcare provider to determine whether you are at risk of certain diseases or have certain conditions that are important diagnoses in a woman, including:
- Pelvic inflammatory disease
- Autoimmune diseases
- Polycystic ovary syndrome
- Fibromyalgia
- Thyroid conditions
- Cancers such as breast, ovarian, or cervical cancer
- Vaginitis
- Menopause
Your health and well-being are of primary concern for your Lifeline Medical Associates provider. Laboratory services that are professional and accurate can make a real difference in the quality of your healthcare.
