Dr. Chavez joined All About Women in 2011. She is originally from El Paso, Texas, is married, and has two children. She received her BS and MD degrees from the University of Connecticut. She completed her residency at Christiana Care, where she served as the administrative chief resident in her final year. Dr. Chavez is board certified and an ACOG fellow. She serves on Christiana’s Peer Review and Credentialing Committee.

She listened to my concerns and discussion and was not typing on her computer while I spoke ( this is a typical habit of my PCP ! and is not respectful of the patient) . She gave me options to explore opposite my concerns. She respected my personal health decision to have annual exams despite Medicare and Aetna's every other year coverage. This is my body and my health and there are silent cancer killers that need the continued attention and preventative detection and care ( breast and ovarian!!).
