Gynecological Exams

Dr. Demeo was very nice which was comforting because I had never seen him before and my appointment with my regular doctor had to be rescheduled last minute. The only problem I have is when I viewed my patient summary after the visit and my IUD is listed as being placed in December of 2020, when it was actually placed in December of 2019. I even checked my own records to confirm and I still have the Mirena card from the appointment and it is dated 2019.

Dr DeMeo was behind schedule, and I had my yearly mammogram scheduled immediately after his appointment. The staff did their best to get me out quickly. I felt rushed, but they did the best they could. The nurse was nice and helpful. The one thing that needs attention was the male receptionist that was scheduling appointments for next year. I had to request a wallet sized card for the scheduled appointment, and he didn't even fill it out properly. I'm not sure if he realizes how important his accuracy of the job is. He seemed bored to be there helping me. I felt like I was interrupting his personal time. Also, it is a shame Dr Demeo no longer sees patients at 875AAA Blvd #B.

Although I was highly satisfied with the doctor, the pre-check forms were excessive and tedious. I’ve been a patient at this practice for nearly 40 years, so the information should have been in my records already after all this time. And then there were more forms when I got there! The appointment was on time, so that was good.

I am a post menopausal women, and would have liked a more nuanced conversation in strategizing how to slow down my bone loss/osteoporosis. I am a proponent of prevention when possible rather than waiting until i am sick.
