I came in for some vaginal irritation and upon speculum exam, the doctor found a cervical polyp that she wanted to remove. I agreed as I’ve had previous positive HPV results and cancerous cells so I wanted to make sure this wasn’t anything to be worried about. I cannot believe how much pain I was in with the polyp removal and that a procedure like that, no matter how quick it was, is not done under at least some lidocaine administration. Going forward, I will not agree for anything to be done like this again without some sort of analgesia because it was unbearable and I was in tears on the table.

I Love how she always reviews my information so even though she has many patients she is able to connect and know my personal information making me feel well taken care of. (Liked that this appointment did not have a student physician present. I understand the importance of allowing students to learn but felt like it took away from my postpartum visit)
