I really enjoy the variety of OB/GYN, seeing patients in the office, delivering babies, operating and, most importantly, developing long-term relationships where I can be in integral part of helping them grow older in good health. I am compassionate and well-organized, which allows me to see patients on time and on schedule and give them excellent care.

Dr. Austin is the mother of three boys and spends most of her free time trying to keep up with them.

My daughter has been having quite the journey on birth control. She has very heavy periods & horrible cramping. We started her on oral contraceptives that she didn’t do well on and she now has the Kyleena IUD. It has helped with the cramping, but she continuously bleeds every day, all day. She is fed up with it and as her mom, I feel terrible. Who wants to have to wear a tampon every day, and not just a lite, she bleeds pretty heavily, everyday!! When she actually gets her period, she is flowing through an Ultra or a Super+ tampon within 30 mins. Dr. Austin has done ultrasounds to make sure the IUD is in the right place, checked for polyps/cysts/fibroids and thankfully there isn’t anything, but you kind of wish there was something to give you answers. So we just continue to wait it out or she gets the Mirena IUD, which as a 17 yr old, she isn’t looking forward to a larger IUD since the Kyleena insert and aftermath was pretty horrible with the pain and cramping. So just a frustrated mom & daughter!

Post-Partum Appointment

I had a complicated pregnancy followed by a complicated C-section and incision infection. It was Dr. Austin who properly diagnosed my conditions and made sure her team was well aware of what was going on with me to provide the best care. Dr. Austin thoroughly explained my conditions to me and plan of care. She always listened attentively to my concerns and answered all of my questions. She followed up with me and her team so she was always aware of how I was doing. I’m very thankful for Dr. Austin’s attentiveness and compassion.
