Lynda Sheppard, RNC, APN, trained and practiced as a registered nurse and as a registered midwife in the United Kingdom before immigrating to the United States. After 15 years as a labor and delivery nurse, she completed her advanced practice training to become a Certified Nurse Practitioner in women’s health and joined Morristown OB/GYN in 1996. She enjoys seeing women for their annual visits, especially adolescents, and plays an active role in prenatal education for our obstetric patients. She is married, has three children, and one grandchild.

There was no wait time for my appointment. The sign-in staff were friendly and helpful. The nurse assistant was friendly and courteous. This was my first time seeing Lynda Sheppard after my previous physician retired. She made me feel very comfortable during my appointment. She was very knowledgeable and offered good suggestions concerning my health and took the time for any questions I had. Wonderful appointment.

Lynda Sheppard has such a gentle, welcoming bedside manner. She makes me feel comfortable discussing uncomfortable things, which I so appreciate. I've been seeing her for a few years and will continue to do so as long as she is there. My only concern this time (and first ever) was that she didn't have my chart and didn't seem to know which birth control pill I was on, had to ask a few questions to figure out which one it was. I have specific reasons to be on this specific pill, so I would've felt better if she had the chart handy to look at and talk details with more clarity. Other than that, she is wonderful.
