Dr. Bewtra grew up in Maryland and graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics. She then attended Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska, receiving her Medical Degree in 1997.

She returned to the East Coast and completed her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU Downtown Hospital in New York City. For her work, she received the Berlex Best Teaching Resident Award. Dr. Bewtra has been in private practice in Bergen County, New Jersey for over 14 years and is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Her interest in women’s health beyond the strict purview of an OB-GYN began at a young age and has since carried over into her practice. She now provides care for women of all ages, including issues pertaining to contraceptive counseling, pregnancy, cervical health, menopause, and preventive medicine.

Dr. Bewtra is married and has three children, a boy and fraternal twins (boy & girl).

I have been going to this practice for a long time. Even though I moved to NYC (to care for aging parent) I have not changed my gynecological practice. I am happy with Dr. Bewtra and don't have any reason to change. I go once a year for annual check-up so it isn't a big deal for me to travel from NYC to Englewood for my appointment.
