Dr. Grimes has exceptional bedside manner and provides excellent care. She takes time to answer all questions and address any concerns. With regard to plan of care, she works collaboratively with me to come up with a plan that addresses my needs. She is very conscientious about the intimate nature of gynecologic exams and is sure to specifically request consent and provide anticipatory guidance through all aspects of the examination, which enhances my comfort. Most importantly, she fosters an environment of trust where I am confident that I can bring up any concerns to her without fear of judgement or biased treatment.

Pap Smear

Dr. Grimes is a wonderful doctor. HOWEVER, when I filled out my paperwork before my visit, I had a few questions. When she came in, she gave me quick answers to my questions but she said she didn't have time to discuss any questions in further detail because I didn't schedule a "well woman" visit, just a gyno visit. How was I supposed to know what to say when calling to schedule an appointment? I think you should allow doctors to spend more time with their patients.

It was the first time meeting Dr. Grimes, so I was rather nervous. I was also don't like gynecology exams. Dr. Grimes was polite, professional, and she understood my anxiety, and she alerted me to each step of the exam and asked for my consent. I feel as if I just need some time to get comfortable with a new doctor, especially one who has to do such intimate checkups, so my ratings reflect my presumption I will continue to work with her and also that I've only had one single visit with her and would like a few more visits before I can truly get a sense of our relationship. I suspect she'd feel the same way. I'm also feeling a little uncertain about the doctor patient relationship in general for the simple fact that my previous gynecologist left rather unexpectedly and without any kind of notice from the office regarding that fact. I realize doctors have rather large caseloads, but I feel it's important to alert patients *before* they call to schedule an appointment.
