Amber began her career in women’s health with over 8 years of labor and delivery/postpartum nursing. She is a graduate of Frontier Nursing University and completed her clinical rotations at Christiana Care. She is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB). Amber prides herself in providing care for women though all stages of life and is passionate about pregnancy and childbirth. She has a calm, reassuring presence and gives 100% to every patient she encounters. She also has special interest in infertility and care of teen patients.

Amber lives in Smyrna with her husband and three children, John, Jacob and Emily.

My greeting was warm, check-in was smooth and quick. Amber provides professional care, and puts me at ease by giving explanations for what she is about to do. I can tell that Amber has recently reviewed my chart because of the relevant questions she asked. For example,I received a friendly but firm reminder to restart my much needed calcium supplements. ( I had forgotten all about them.) Amber gives me opportunities to ask questions.

Depo-Provera / Birth Control Shot

I asked questions pertaining to what has been out regarding the depo and its alleged links to brain tumors. I felt like my questions were dismissed and disregarded. I was given a generic “we haven’t heard anything” and that was it, as we walked out of the office after getting the shot, which was a literal 5 min visit. I was very frustrated after that visit. This is something that’s being injected into me and I have concerns and you brush me off??

Post-Partum Appointment

Amber had helped deliver my baby, and it was truly the best experience I could ever hope for. I saw her the day before, and the next day she was part of my care team as I delivered my baby. My baby was premature and I was not prepared at all. But Amber guided me through the whole process. She was the perfect mix of firm and comforting. And during my postpartum visit, it was lovely when we went over the process and did the checkup. I would 100% recommend her to anyone who will be giving birth :)

I completed the paperwork and noted issues with sleep, headaches, anxiety and mood. None of these were brought up during my visit. I had my exam, asked if I had any questions, was reminded to get my mammogram and bone scan and then told to schedule for next year. What is the purpose of completing the forms if they are not going to be read and issues addressed. Amber is very attentive, but I was disappointed that my paperwork was ignored.

My first time at this office was 2023. I wasn’t aware the office moved, I showed up to the former location, all signage was out front and on the door. No notice saying practice has moved. Service is bad in that area so had to get on the road before I was able to pull up google to look up the location and phone #. Called to notify that I was coming down the road from the old office and would be there in 5 mins. Was told that there is a 10 min policy and if I arrive after that I may have to reschedule. I felt that was not fair since the office sent no reminder of the move when sending the appt. reminder. I arrived at the office at 9:39a, my appt was 930a. So it was within the time frame. The woman at the front desk said the patient before me was in the waiting room and would be seen before me and I would be “worked back in to the schedule”. I informed her I had just started a new job that week and should probably reschedule even though I think it was completely unfair given the circumstances, but that I couldn’t be there an hour that day and she said it wouldn’t be that long. 42 mins after my original appt time I left. This practice has other reviews online regarding the same issue but hasn’t done anything to rectify it. Terrible business practice. There was no reason the person next on the schedule should have been taken before me when I arrived within the 10 min window, especially given the fact that it was an oversight on your end.
